Something about this Camino feels so different. Every Camino feels different. But with this one, I am feeling the most grounded and calm. Prepared. Ready. Aligned.
First Camino, my anxiety was through the roof. And with each one, it feels more and more familiar and I know what I need to set myself up for a good start. I guess it’s also trusting my intuition and honouring it.
What I have loved doing is journaling my intentions. With each Camino, I get more crystal clear.

I’ve been mostly calm and grounded, aside from a few dips. About a week before flying, I started to doubt my route. And on the day of the flight, a profound fear that I’ve packed the wrong things. But I just had to shift that something pulled me to Burgos and something pulled me to July 3rd and I need to honour that and begin. There comes a point where you know you’re negotiating with fear and just need to surrender to it.
Once I arrived in Europe, I felt quite proud and confident in what I packed, knowing that there would most definitely be things that I abandon. But my new backpack is 5L lighter than my last and that already helped me reduce.
For the first time ever, I only have 2 pairs of shoes (I usually have 3). I feel good about my layers, my poncho, my shoes and my water.
I feel like a goodness moving towards a spiritual peak.
While I’m walking this month, I want to begin curating a consistent creative process to start uncovering the seeds of my book. I have pocket journals and this blog. I’m going to take a break from social media so I can tune into the creative intuitive voice and less of the performative one.
With time, I hope to answer these questions along the way:
What does my creative process look like?
What is my intuition revealing?
xoxo surrenderness
